I think the website's shopping cart is better! Haole emailed whidbeynet and they must have fixed it 'cause an order made it thru this morning without the use of the 800 number! Thanks Whidbeynet!
Edmonds Arts Festival is coming up next weekend, and I want to encourage everybody to come down and shop atthe show! It is our favorite outdoor summer show, in a beautiful location as the image following shows. Great sea and mountain and sunset views. The hours are long, so you should be able to find us open when you can get there! Friday and Saturday its 10 to 9, and sunday 10 to 6. There is a lot of entertainment and children's events scheduled, no kid will feel there was nothing to do! There are swingsets, slides, music, hands on arts and crafts...so many things to see and touch. For a look, click on this web address and you can see the whole lineup. www.edmondsartsfestival.com
And don't forget to ask for a reciept for your purchases! This show gives thousands of dollars to the community, mostly schools and art students, and that is a great cause to help support! 20% of your purchases are tax deductible, I believe, so show your support and come out to see us at his really fun event. You can find Shadowfax on the corner of Dali and Rembrandt, on the far east end of the field under the hill where the food booths are lined up. We are just south of the center aisles. We face east and south.
I am onsite from about 8:30am, so I can get the work put out. Lowie and I will be doing the show together again so Haole can do some things around the house and yard...he and mom usually make time to have lunches or dinner together, and of course there are the daily dog walkies. Boots demands his due, and of course all the cookies he gets from nice dog owners and the Whidbey's Coffee Girls, his favorite stop. Boots smells coffee, he begins to salivate! Pavlov's dog never had it so good! Cookies at the bank, coffee booth, feedstore, at the park...its no wonder he is so huge!
See this image? IT COULD BE YOU HAVING THIS MUCH FUN! See you there!

A QUICK NOTE!!!!
I see that the shopping cart program on the Shadowfax Jewelry Website is not working! Thanks Renee in Vermont for the heads-up. If you need to order, use 1-800-617-2649 and I will take your order personally. Don't forget to give me a bit of time to grab the phone! Noise Cancelling headphones and loud hard rock, safety glasses and respirator takes a while to get off, and I am not known for my grace and coordination! I'll drop the phone at least once.
I have no idea how to fix this one and it may be a few days before I can con Haole into taking a look. I know NOTHING about computers and shopping carts, THAT it works is enough for me. HOW it works is like algebra...and ask Lowie my bookkeeper! Math is not my strong talent!
Barbara!

Another weekend come and goneand Edmonds Arts Festival looms in the near future! I have been making lots of new things for the show, and I am stocked up in every color of hairwrap, well, almost...and so I am almost ready!
I have a photo shoot coming up soon again, and just finished the pieces that will be featured. Here is a sneak preview!
This one has neat hidden hinge parts, so it is softer to wear...for a piece that is generally pokey and thorny in places! It will be on display at Edmonds, but even if sold, it will remain with me til after the photoshoot, sorry! I doubt if I could make another similar one in time! Its a couple days work and there is so little time to give to a fun item like this. I need those days to make hairwraps!
Things on the island are pretty good. The weather cooler than usual, but it smells fabulous with all the wild roses and tall grasses, sort of reminds me of honey and maile. Today I walked Boots up at The Farm, and it was so fragrant it was like syrup, sweet and fragrant. The farm looked amazing. I don't know if I will be able to participate in the Loganberry Festival up there in July, but I recommend it for a look at what is going on up in Greenbank if you get the chance. It really is great what has happened up there! And for good-dog-only walks off leash, its great! Boot had fun hunting rabbits and mice, only visible when he leaped in pursuit, the grass is so tall! Of course theres little chance he could ever catch one, but the bunnies seemed to have fun teasing him and leading him into confusion. Saw a few other walkers and dogs, all enjoying the wind and sun and easy uphill climbs between the farm and the forest. The farm looked better than I have ever seen it.
Heres a cute picture to share: Big Boot by a patch of tulips under the plum tree. Enjoy!
