Another week has ripped by at top speed out here in paradise! It started with a really exciting monday. I woke up (on my birthday) at 3:45 am. I took a shuttle to SeaTac and caught flights down to San Diego to meet my hairwrap licensees, my partner, and my lawyer and attend a legal meeting.
It was wonderful! I felt so at ease the moment I shook our lawyers hand. He felt like an honorable soul, he inspired instant respect and appreciation. And I felt really good and comfortably safe in the courtroom (miles of wood paneling and beautiful architecture always put me in a good place). The judge was one of those people who show you there IS truth and justice and beauty in the legal process. She was purely and carefully neutral, but I felt like this was a court where truth is upheld. I have to say I really enjoyed the experience.
Though the travel was arduous and rushed, I have to say the whole day, all 22 hours awake and moving seemed really quite perfectly RIGHT. And Haole's arms were open to me at 1:30 am tuesday when I stumbled off the boat and down the landing, Big Boots leaned from the van and hugged me hard and I relaxed home and happy. Slept a solid 8 hrs. The thunderstorm roused me, but a couple layers of pillows on the head and I was gone again. Made me glad I had made the boat and wasn't sitting onthe landing in Mukilteo!
The whole experience was tremendously interesting and inspiring and really uplifting in so many ways!
I believe a really good and positive ending for all parties will emerge. I believe!
In the Magistrate Judge and the Counselor! They'll help us find our way.
And so moving on to this weekend's show!
SPARC, a Summerfest celebrating the SandPoint Arts and Recreation Community welcomes us all into their neighborhood for a FREE Fine Arts and Craft Show sponsored by the Northwest Crafts Alliance. Many other events are involved, book sale, Shakespeare, and a Saturday Night Social with dancing and music...many more things to do as well. And don't forget the Off Leash Park for your doggish friends, and tasty food. The usual show hours prevail. Go to the NWCA's website, accesible from my website show list for other information.
In the workshop things progress slowly with Boise Art in the Park in mind. This is my best show of the year, in my favorite venue, Julia Davis Park. Maybe next week I will sneak-peek you a few of the things I am making for that one! Thanks to the Boise Art Museum for making it all possible!
Thats all today!
