Once agan the days are racing by as I get ready for Anacortes Arts Festival which is this coming weekend.

I don't know if the website front page will get updated in time, but hopefully everybody reading the blog will head north to this fun and huge event. It covers about 10 blocks of downtown Anacortes on Commercial Street, almost from the Safeway to the Port Building where there is always a fine arts show. There is music, buskers, food and more art and crafts than you can possibley see in a day.

There is even a classic car show. Maybe my dream car will be there, a perfect raspberry pearl colored 1947 Crosley. Sigh. I fell for her HARD, even had her named (RAZBERI....... I mean what else you gonna call the cutest car in the world? I had to give up the dream tho, as she is a true work of art and love, and I couldn't keep her safe. I'd use her like a truck, she'd be full of sand and dog fur, empty mocha cups and old junk mail...and I haven't a garage to keep her in. But boy, I'd love to see her again! She can really make me smile. And Jay and Suzie who own her are hoping to find the perfect new owner for her. I'm almost that person, but toopoor to get a new car. I'll just stick to my 25 year old Rx7, Jaelith, who I finally vacuumed out last weekend. First time in about 20 years. Not kidding! You wouldn't believe the stuff I found under her seats! Anyway, she looks and smells a lot better now! And the dog fur layer has been reduced, but not eradicated. After all its Boot's fur we are talking about and if you know Bootie, you know why its true that his fur is FOREVER!

Anyway, I digress. We open friday the 6th at 10AM, and go for 3 days. You can find Shadowfax in front of Village Pizza between 7th and 8th streets, I am number 808E, the east side of the street directly in front of the tastiest pizza on Fidalgo Island. Me and Lowie get to eat pizza everyday for the whole show!!! YAY!

The next weekend, Aug 14 and 15 we will be at Coupeville Arts Festival. Its an easy little local show with art and music in the city park. You can find us near the pier on Front Street.

OK that is all I have for you today. Just the usual jewelry and hairwrap making going on here. I am considering selling my half of my Hairwrap Patent, so if you are a go-getter with lots of energy, you could take these cool items to the world. Patent for sale! Email me if you are interested!
