Has it really been weeks since I blogged?
It has. So much going on!

The Best of the Northwest Spring Show was a fun and busy event. It was nice to do well and spend the weekend enjoying friends. My new styles got SO MUCH comment! Often surprising, the comments ranged from enthusiastic to upset, wise and observant, even dismayed! Thanks for the input, but obsessed or not, I gotta go further with it! Seaweed and clamshells rule! Its great to be having fun with it again. If you want flower stuff I'll still make it for YOU, but for now its beaches and seaside for me! Later in the fall I'll round out the floral designs, and of course for the Flower Show next year in February.

Here is an earring design that comes in several sizes. Small ones are about 45.00, bigger ones 60.00 to 120.00. These are about 90.00.
They are a bit over 3 inches long.

This weekend I am helping Carrie from JEWELERS BENCH do a show in Coupeville. Its time for the Penn Cove Water Festival. We will be selling her husbands Navajo style silver conchos, bracelets etc, and other SW Indian jewelry designers works. There will also be baskets, rugs and sand paintings. Her store will be closed during this event, but will reopen tuesday on schedule. Our special showing of newest works is still on, be sure to stop in if you are 'local' or plan on a trip to Whidbey soon. Everything will be on display there until mid-June.

A couple weeks ago I was contacted by an old friend, lost by the crazy tides of our lives. She is the mother of my godchildren! How fun to be back together! Pictures sent of the now-grown 'kids' proved to be emotional and happy and fun, all sorts of wild feelings and memories! How cool to see them again.
Reading the blog, 'kids"? Be sure to get in touch!
And Laurel! Happy birthday tomorrow!

OK I have to go back to the bench and hammer out some shell shapes! Seaweed after that...HA!
