The month has about slipped by! Its short enough as it is, but these last couple weeks have flown by.
No jewelry work has gotten done as I wait for delivery of a new oxygen regulator. The one I have is only a couple years old but it never did control pressure right, so when we attached a new cylinder last week, it just became unmaneagably bad at controlling the pressure to the handpiece, so I gave up and ordered a new one. I will send the old one to be repaired and then have a backup for down the road when I'm sure to need another. After blowing out 2 oxygen lines a couple years back I am getting more careful. I loose too much work time waiting for replacement parts.
Everyone waiting for sizings and orders from the Garden Show, be patient! Tracking shows it could be here today...but island living often tacks on an extra day. I saw Steve the favorite UPS guy on the road earlier today, but he didn't flag me, so either I zipped by too fast or theres nothing in the truck for me.
Last week was our 32nd anniversary! Wow, so many years gone so quickly! Many of our old friends have birthdays about now, so happy birthday, you know I am thinking of you if you are one of them! Have fun and enjoy the years as they slip past, every excuse for a celebration is good...even if its just a small celebration. Some of those birthday numbers are getting pretty big!
The last few days were spent in the yard making garden spaces and weeding, cutting up mountains of brambles and dead salal. I transplanted a batch of crocus to a new garden area, and of course they were devoured the first night. Darn, what a waste of great color! Shoulda left them in pots on the deck! Glad I only did a few tho, could have been a total loss.
Ralph has been finishing his door order slowly, as he had to move on to a remodle job and only has weekends for projects now. He plans to put up some web pages to show the process he invented to build such an amazing piece of work! It still needs another coat of finish, and the trim that goes on the walls around it need finish, but the long awaited door is almost ready. He such a perfectionist!
OK I really got nothing to say, just wanted to catch up with friends since I haven't been very good at that lately. Ohana members, I am really looking forward to this September's gathering! Its been 3 years since the last one (sorry!) but this one can be long and sweet and with new-old friends to round us out even more. Bring tents and campers and dogs!
Laters!
