I accidentally deleted the last entry while trying to fix the size on an image, so here goes again!
This is a wonderful 4 to 7 million year old fossilized sand dollar! Its like an image of the past so I call it "Cameo"


Its a little cold but nice enough out on the island. No snow, no rain, but a bit of the usual wind keeping things interesting. Boots went to work with Haole today so no dog walk, but we have been keeping to the woods to avoid the chill factor found at our usual favorite spots!

The eagles have been busy swooping thru the yard and the crows run for cover. A big hawk has been hunting the songbirds and the Owls! They are everywhere at night! 2 of them escorted me to the mail box out on the highway a couple days ago, and settled in a snag when I came back to the yard, chuckling insanely at each other, not much of the usual hoohoos. It was really creepy-cool.

Love that sort of stuff! Well its the end of a long hard work day for me, and I am looking forward to the Flower and Garden Show just for the chance to heal my bruised and beat up hands. Its a tough occupation on the manicure!
