Go take a look at this absolutely amazing collection of photos from Gordy Coale's weblog!
If you like Dale Chihuly's Glass work, or are interested in The Boat House hot shop where his work is created, you got to see this!
Click on the lunch picture and then click on the opening bridge picture and you can step thru all the photos in large format.

Its foggy today! Definitely feels like autumn on the island. I know it will break open to a sunny day again, but its odd to have so much fog. Its not common on this part of the island.

I thought I'd have some fun before I went to the bench to grind and finish the very last of the hairwraps for Boise Art Museum's Art in the Park, and scan in a couple of the last really neat ones.

This first on reminds me of those SouthEastern Indian headdresses we see in the old paintings and photos, all made of plants and other organic stuff, very tall and decorated and beautiful.
I call it: The Shaman's Headdress

Another one that seems especially clean and simple is set with a big perfect chrysoprase triangle. I found a wonderful dendritic agate (with a naturally healed fracture) that looked perfect with it...and this one seems to be named: Equinox, as it looks like the hope of spring after the naked branches of the winter!
