End of the week again! Time really flies by!
Lots of new jewelry got made this week, and in particular a very old style I made in the late 70's, reinvented for todays bigger styles, better colors. They are rings, with big loose clusters of colored pearls that move and dance around. Very fun and flirty, for summer!
They are the perfect match for my pearl earrings, bracelets and necklaces! Better come to Edmonds Arts Festival to get some! They are 60.00 each. That is our next time out this summer, on fathers Days weekend, June 13-15. Ralph (Mr. Taking A. Break), Lowie and I will be there to help out with getting all these new things out to you all. Don't forget that the show gets 20% of the sales, so discounts might be smaller or not offered, but 20% of your purchase is tax deductible! Just keep your reciept (make sure you ask for one at every booth!) for your records. Edmonds awards thousands of dollars in grants to children, art programs in schools and scholarships, so this is a really sweet cause. It all goes back to the community, keeps the fair free and provides all those fun childrens events and entertainment! Come down and spend lots, its such a great effort to keep the arts alive and available to talented kids of all ages! Don't forget to see their show inside the Agnes Flanagan Center!
Other new items to tempt you with!
There are new bracelets, armbands, lots of new necklaces...more of those really large mystical ones, mixed gems and usually pin/pendant combo fixtures. These are like little meditations in metal, each very special. Come see what they suggest to you! They take me to all sorts of interesting places when I construct them! Who needs science fiction!
New earrings coming up next, briolette cut amethysts to match the fabulous big necklace. One big chunky amethyst necklace and bracelet also available, really big tumbled pieces, great color. If you like BIG, this is the one for you!
Its been a very busy week all around. Gutters cleaned, roof scrubbed, dog walked at beach and in woods, mochas fetched from Whidbey's Coffee daily, new stock shipped and delivered here and there, flowers planted...then eaten by tent caterpillars. Looks like another bad year for them. I have hundreds in a bucket of soapy water. Its very hard for me to kill things but this is really a problem out here. Last year the whole workshop walls were covered (gross!) and every tree was stripped of its leaves. They crawl everywhere! Had one walking thru a project on the soldering bench yesterday, so I let him go swimming with his friends in the bucket.
OK I gotta bounce, mail to check, orders to organize and a run to town for garden stuff. Times-a-wastin!
