Today on the island has been both shocking blue sky and sun, and overcast and cool...it was perfect when Boots and I headed out for the Greenbank Farm to walk, but cloudy by the time we headed back down the hill. Gorgeous out there, tho, the biggest red clover flowers I ever saw, and tiny purple stars, yellow puff balls even tinier. Deer, green racers, hawk, heron, songbirds, everyone was out today. There is a big herd of cute alpaca up there too, tho they are shy of us when we try to visit. Cruised thru Freeland to get my mocha at Whidbey's coffee and ask after our favorite coffee girl. She is still basking on a beach in Cabo, as she does a couple times a year, All I have to say to her is "Shut up!" The same to our friends, Dos Lobitos, happily cooking in a bar in Ajijic, 40 miles from Guadalahara. That, and "Send chilis!"

We bought a boat!
Its a 16' Glastron trihull, with a massively too big 85h engine. Its old but in really nice shape. When Ralph gets back on island we need to license it and take it out. Shes been under cover in a barn for a year or so. All we have done so far is sneak it back up the island to our place, and get it under a tarp, as it was a day of thundershowers saturday when we went to pick it up. Should be way fun to putt around in. Looking for crab-pots next. We'll try something un-scary like Holmes Harbor first.

Well, only doing custom jewelry today, wild spider tongue-posts and wedding rings. What a combo, huh? Well, it takes all kinds!
Laters!
