About Our Jewelry
My style of fabricated jewelry is expressed in mostly botanical themes. Vines and branches capture gems or pearls and hold them in pleasing original settings. Employing many time honored techniques for working precious metals, I hand craft all the individual parts using shears, carving, engraving and repousse tools. The pieces crafted are then skillfully joined by soldering. In ancient times this would have been done using blowpipes and a furnace. I accomplish the work with a torch. All of these techniques have remained virtually unchanged for 5000 years.
I created the items before you at my home on Whidbey Island. With 25 years of metal working experience and a lifetime of beading and illustration to draw from, I constantly make new pieces to send out to art museums shops and galleries across the country.
